Biography
Toronto based Wristpect has established himself as one of North America’s finest open-format DJs. He has been moving crowds worldwide for close to a decade and continues to work alongside some of today's most influential music, lifestyle, fashion, tech and entertainment brands.
A deep musical knowledge and genuine passion for his craft have led him to consistently control the soundtrack at nightclubs, concerts, product launches, and private events for clients across the globe.
Known for diversity and depth, Wristpect’s sets are always custom-tailored to the event and audience at hand; his eclectic selection often crosses genres and eras.
Over the years, Wristpect has found himself behind the turntables at events for John Legend, The Weeknd, Usher, Oasis, Leonardo DiCaprio, Rihanna, Ludacris, Lady Gaga, Samuel L. Jackson, Lebron James, Drake, Kim Kardashian, Toronto International Film Festival, Maxim, Grand Prix, TEDx, Google, MTV, Belvedere, Blackberry, Playboy and many others.
He has also provided tour support and opened shows for artists such as Nas, Busta Rhymes, Mary J Blige, Ne-Yo, Wu-Tang Clan, DJ AM, The Clipse, DJ Premier, Kendrick Lamar, Jazzy Jeff and Just Blaze.
Wristpect was awarded Canadian Fan Choice DJ of the Year as well as Toronto DJ of the Year at the 2011 Stylus DJ Awards. He has also received accolades such as Canadian Club DJ of the Year (2009), and Mixtape of the Year (2010) for his collaboration with The Clipse.
